CloudFone reveals all-new GEO 420q with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3

Cloudfone has just announced the all-new GEO 420q, a 4-inch quadcore android smartphone with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3.

The new CloudFone GEO 402q features a 4-inch display with OGS technology and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 as scratch resistant. Powered by Mediatek Quad-core chip which clocked at 1.3GHz, paired with 1GB of RAM and 4GB onboard storage.

CloudFone equipped the GEO 402q with an 8 megapixel rear camera with flash and a 2 megapixel on front for taking selfies. This dual sim, dual standby smartphone is carrying 1600mAh battery in an Android 4.4 Kitkat operating system.

Starmobile Play updated on Android Kitkat

Starmobile recently announced that they updated their Starmobile Play operating system into Android Kitkat.

The Play has the same specs than the old one. The only change is the OS, it has the same 2,000mAh battery, Yamaha Speakers and 3G connectivity for only Php2,999. 

If you already owned this mobile before the update, you can be update the Play at any Starmobile service centers. You can also check your device's "Wireless Update" option from time to time to see if the OTA roll out has reached you.

How to Update Cherry Mobile Flare S2 to Android Kitkat?

Did you know that Cherry Mobile Flare S2 operating system (Jelly Bean) can now update to Android 4.4 Kitkat via OTA.

Here's the step on how you can update your smartphone operating system:

Required: You should have a Wi-Fi connection to download the software and make sure that your smartphone battery has at least 80% battery level.

Step 1. Back up your data.
Step 2. Open the OTA update app.
Step 3. Download the firmware update
Step 4. Click Update Now
Step 5. Your device will boot and wait for it to finish in about a minute.
Step 6. After updating, do a restore to factory setting. This is required to update the stock Kitkat Messaging App.
